Landing Currency and Safety Piloting
Asked by: Anderson Frazier 7295 views Instrument Rating
I'm an Intsrument rated pilot currently working on my multiengine commercial license. I have a friend who wants me to safety pilot for him while he goes and practices instrument approaches in a c172. Since I am no longer focused on single engine training for now, I happen to be short one landing from "three in 90 days." It seems logical that since my buddy and I both are logging PIC time that he would not be counted as a passenger and thus I do not need to be landing current. The FARs are, as ever, ambiguous on this subject. Any suggestions/advice?
