what is the different between TAT and OAT

 

and can we have OAT frim TAT, or we should use spearte sensore to measure OAT and TAT

    Yes, it is possible to calculate the outside air temperature from the total air temperature using on board computers. These computers take into account the TAT temperature and speed of the aircraft at that moment.

    Total air temperature is saturated air temperature (SAT is the same as OAT inflgiht) with the effects of compressibility added in.
