I've been working on my PPL for 11 months now and have about 93 total hours. I've completed all the required elements for the private license, but am now trying to bring my skills up to the practical test standards. I am a very slow learner and have struggled to get to this point, and am worried that it may take another 40 to 80 hours to bring my skills up to standards. My flight school is a small part 61 school with pretty rigorous standards for their students. Half of me wants to quit and just give up, and the other half says that would be a waste of all my hard work. I am wondering if other people have had similar situations and whether slow learners like myself should continue with training. I'm successful in many other areas of my life but the private license has been the most difficult thing I've ever tried to accomplish.
