Partaking in Pharmaceutical Research

Asked by: 3087 views FAA Regulations

I was wondering what legal issues would arise from partaking in pharmaceutical research, such as drug testing.  I know of the list of approved medications and such, but I couldn't find much with regards to using new drugs.  Doing this testing is a great oppertunity to make easy money, but I just want to make sure I don't jeopardize my medical and abiliy to fly.  Thanks for your help!

There isn’t a list of approved medication….there is only medication that the FAA sometimes approves for particular people at particular dosages.  Given that you’re testing drugs whose side effects are unknown, I’d think you’d need to ground yourself.
