Has the FAA ban on touring tower facilities been lifted?

Asked by: 3301 views FAA Regulations

I've been wanting to tour a facility, but I am not sure where to start or if the ban has been lifted or re-instated. I'm not a pilot, but I am currently working on fixing that. Thanks for your help.

It shouldn’t be too hard to set up. There isn’t a ban, we ran one a few months back. Start by contacting the NATCA official in the area in which you wish to tour. You can find that information at the below link:

I have set up a few tours of the Reno tower and they have been very accommodating. Just ask the boss in charge of the tower. They are pretty eager to interface with the voices on the other side of the mic. I found the phone number under U.S. Govt. in the local directory.
