Flight Review Endorsement and Logbook Entry

Asked by: 404 views ,

Once the endorsement for the Flight Review is completed, are you required to make a logbook entry of the flight in the flight log? Or is the endorsement sufficient? Thank you.

I would have thought the endorsement would have been sufficient, but then I read the actual wording of the logging regulation and it says:

    61.51 Pilot Logbooks
    (a) Training time and aeronautical experience. Each person must document and record the following time in a manner acceptable to the Administrator:
    (1) Training and aeronautical experience used to meet the requirements for a certificate, rating, or flight review of this part.

So it says you have to log it.
