Can a 141 Commercial pilot complete CFI/CFII at a 61 school and still receive the reduced hours/age requirements?

Asked by: 784 views General Aviation

If a pilot who has completed his 141 commercial training and certification wants to reduce the time to complete the CFI/CFII certifications (2 semesters in 141) switch to a 61 program and still receive the benefits of 141 reduced hour and age requirements?

I am assuming the pilot will complete any remaining graduation requirements of the 141 program after completing the CFI/CFII courses in part 61.

That is what I did, I then sent the credit back to the 141 school and got those courses waived and graduated with the degree. As long as the commercial AND instrument certs/ratings were earned in the 141 school.
