I’m not sure what your concern is.

I did Basic Med last year and as far as I remember, I had to enter information about the Doctor that conducted the examination. That was it. I don’t know if AOPA transmits that info to the FAA, but they do transmit the date on which you completed the requirements. That date is listed on your pilot record in the FAA’s database in OKC.

However, that does not mean that the FAA can’t / won’t ever see the info on your medical checklist (CMEC). 61.3(l) requires that you present the checklist upon request to the FAA, NTSB, TSA or any law enforcement person.

14 CFR 68.11 requires that, if the FAA receives credible information questioning your ability to safely pilot an aircraft (accident or complaint from the public), they may ask for additional information from you about any medical condition. They may also conduct a 44709 re-exam of your pilot certificate to ascertain if you can safely operate an aircraft.

I retired a year ago from the FAA. I was an Operations Inspector and did get involved with a pilot flying under Basic Med. I discovered that Basic Med is completely separate from a Medical. No Basic Med info is sent to CAMI. However, I could access prior medical records from CAMI to determine if the pilot had previously noted a medical condition on his application for a medical certificate, that was not disclosed on the Basic Med checklist.

The FAA registry includes the date of the course completion and the date of the Comprehensive Medical Exam, they get that from the AOPA site. You keep the certificate and the signed exam with the medical questionnaire filled in with your logbook.
