Is there any additional requirements if my BFR has lapsed 1 year ?

    Not called a BRF anymore…it’s a flight review. But it doesn’t matter how long you’re outside of the 24 months. You could be 1 day or 1 decade–the way back to be PIC is the same per 61.56(a): 1 hour of ground and 1 hour of flight with an authorized instructor. It’s up to the instructor to make sure you’re safe before they sign you off. If you nail everything, the 2 hours might be a minimum and you get a signature in your logbook. If you don’t remember anything or can’t do slow flight or land a plane, you will likely end up taking a few more hours before the instructor signs your logbook.

    Just in case… the FR requirement isn’t “you have to do one evert 24 calendar months.” Just “you need to do one with the 24. Calendar months before acting as PIC.”

    So if it lapses one day or 40 years, you just need one before acting as PIC.
