Accelerating in Ground Effect after Takeoff

I was recently shown by my instructor (this was on recurrent night training as I didn’t fly during night in a while) how to get more airspeed at airports with long runways especially after touch and go. When he did the maneuver, it was very fun as you could feel the g force in the climb. This is being done in smooth air as well.
I’ve started doing this as well. Not to the same extent. I stay slightly higher over the ground, just slightly more than soft field, and then once I have a good amount of airspeed or runway is 1/2 used up I pitch up smoothly but steadily to about 20 degrees and then wait for airspeed to reach VY and continue on my way. I’ve done this at multiple airports with varying length runways, with no complaints. Also the pitch up is within maneuvering limits.
Of course with smooth air and other weather factors permitting, would this be something that is safe to perform?
