Clock in Cockpit for IFR GRABCARD FAR 91.205(d)

Asked by: 2099 views
FAA Regulations, Instrument Rating

  1. Can I use clock in the Transponder If clock in the cockpit brakes?
  2. Can I use wrist watch  If clock in the cockpit brakes?
  3. Digital type clock installed in cockpit is also legit?

I ask this because the FAR 91.205(d) says

"A clock displaying hours, minutes, and seconds with a sweep-second pointer or digital presentation."

Actually I feel like it should be installed in cockpit not in hand and also needs authorization from FAA(I read somewhere but I forgot..)

Can you provide clear explanation and references? Thank you.
