CFI providing instruction for initial CFI… requirements??

I received my CFI/II/MEI based on military competency.  I have roughly 900 hours of IP time.  My question is, can I use that time toward the 200 hours required for a CFI to have before they can provide instruction to an initial CFI candidate.

    Yes, assuming you held your FAA CFI for 24 months.

    That specific question had been asked and answered in the old FAQ’s and no later opinion from the Chief Counsel’s office changed it.
