Can I give a BFR in my airplane?
Asked by: Chad 3614 views FAA Regulations, Flight Instructor, General Aviation
Someone recently asked me if I could give him a BFR in my airplane. My airplane is current in terms of meeting the 100 hour inspection requirement. I don’t care about logging time (I have over 12,000 hours), but I don’t want to “share expenses.” Can I legally (A) give him a BFR in my airplane, and (B) charge him only for the fuel?
related question: instruction is not the same as transportation. Does the FAA expect me to “share expenses“ if I give a non-owner instruction in my airplane?
If you answer this question, please provide sources so I can better educate myself. Thanks!
