How to fly correctly this procedure?

Asked by: 1420 views Instrument Rating

Hey,

Lets imagine situation like this, we do a go around and follow the missed approach procedure, on downwind we get a clearance for ILS approach. Should I make a parallel entry over VOR and then fly ILS(1)? Or can I turn directly on final approach course when I’m over VOR? (2)

The plate says “then as directed.” I would be expecting more specific instructions from ATC. ATC might send us to the VOR for a course reversal. They might vector us to a point where we are more favorably aligned and have us proceed direct LOZ and straight in, or they might vector us for an intercept to the final approach course.
