Flight Review

Private Pilot

I'm a private pilot coming up on a flight review that is due in April. I'd like to confirm what I beleive to be the effects the current COVID-19 situation will have on my status. The flight school I rent from is still operating, but I have chosen to stay home and not go flying. I'm assuming the COVID-19 effects will continue through most, if not all of April. Starting May 1 I will no longer be current and unable to fly. At that point, I can regain currency and will be able to fly again once I've completed a flight review, and I think my next flight review will be due in May 2022 (rather than April 2022)? Am I correct, and is there anything else I need to consider, or something I'm missing? Thanks for any advice.

The flight review requirement is that you have to have had one within the 24 calendar months before acting as PIC. It is not a requirement to have one every 24 calendar months.

IOW, if you don’t have another one until August 2025, you are good to go from then until the end of August 2027.
