How can I file ODP in IFR flight plan using Foreflight or phone?

Um... I always used Radar vectors when departing.

I know that my home base airport has ODP, but not SID.

How can I file it?

Thanks

It is not necessary to file an ODP, it is solely the pilot prerogative to fly the ODP before joining the cleared route with the exception if the ODP is part of a clearance, in which case it must be flown. Not all graphical ODP may be filed, but if they are filed, one would use the computer code found on the procedure chart with the single transition fix as the first element(s) in the route. If you intend to use a VCOA (Visual Climb Over Airport) procedure, you must notify ATC prior to conducting the DP.

With the ForeFlight FPL route editor on the Map view, enter the departure airport then select Procedure>Departure> and go thru the DP selection dialog. If you can’t find the ODP, go back the FPL view and add the final waypoint of the ODP into your route.

I agree with John with one addition.

While it is not “necessary” to file an ODP, I would include it in the remarks if I were departing an untowered airport and advise ATC what I was doing at a towered one.
