If i have lung cancer and type 2 diabetes, can i fly if i have a doctor watching my symptoms closely?  I passed the basicmed quiz and had a 3rd class medical 2 years ago. thanks .....

    Looking at FAR 68.9, cancer and diabetes are *not* listed as conditions which require a one-time Special Issuance. So the choice whether to use BasicMed is between you and your doctor.
