Victor Airway Altitude in Parenthesis Meaning?

Asked by: 2086 views

What does it mean when an altitude on a victor airway is in parentheses such as V171 (10,000’)? I’m seeing this on V171 between FRIZN and SCOTO.

Thanks

I don’t recall any altitudes on the IFR Low Altitude charts being listed with parentheses. I just checked ForeFlight and SkyVector and neither show any altitudes between those two fixes. Both show 10000 listed without parentheses over the V171 marker between FRIZN and HONOS.

    Where did you see this?

    Thanks for responding…

I saw it on ForeFlight. I have an image of it saved but I don’t see any way to attach it here.

I just checked ForeFlight again and no parentheses. I will send the image to ForeFlight and ask about it.

    Thanks again

Contacted ForeFlight and it’s the route label feature showing MEA when enabled. It only shows when a route is entered.
