As a VFR pilot , esp as student learning like me... How do pilot, fly and avoid any airtoair collisions when like late afternoon and flying mostly West into setting sun ? Or same when early morning going East into rising sun ? When on just vfr flt plan and not instr rated and not really doing a xctry type flight... So how is best way deal with su, glare in eyes even with best sunglasses etc. ? When i was soloing it made me nervous even when scanning looking out for traffic that i might miss other ac esp coming at me with sun in my eyes ? Same goes for summer humid hazy days, but still vmc. I know about ATC Flt following... but if I'm just in trng area do practice maneuvers etc. thx

Not sure there is a great answer to this, but of course wear your sunglasses to protect your eyes. Make SURE your windshield is clean inside and out before you go up. Otherwise, just do what you do when you’re driving into the sun… be real careful and look around to the extent that you can. Announce your position accurately and regularly, and listen for others. Best you can do I think.
