    I don’t believe I can give you a good answer, but I can say that power seems to be measured differently. I do know of aircraft that are used in the military and in the civilian world with the same engine being rated substantially different.

    Could it be that cars use the latest and greatest technologies, but aircraft stay with what is tried and true?
