Under 14 CFR 61.129 Section 4 ii – I need 5 hours in night VFR conditions with 10 takeoffs and 10 landings at an airport with an operating control tower.

Asked by: 707 views Commercial Pilot

My question is do i have to do 10 hours total night VFR and 10 T/O and landings in one flight? I currently have 10 T/O and landings at a towered airport but my flight timr for that flight is 1.9 hours. Do I have to do another 3.1 hours AND 10 T/O and landings or do i just need 3.1 more hours of night VFR?

They are completely separate requirements. 5 hours of night VFR and 10 night landings at a towered field. So, it sounds like you just need 3.1 more night hours.
