Might be to late on this but I’ll chip in none the less. My biggest tip is to realize that you don’t know everything, you will make mistakes, and you will be stressed out. The best thing to do is keep the same routine leading up to the check ride. Keep all the variables you can control in check and it will reduce your unwanted stress.

Last thing, during the check ride, take every opportunity to slow things down and realize that you are in control. You are the instructor and it is your job to teach. If you don’t know something ask for a break to gather yourself and a plan. There is no shame in saying you don’t know. Just be able to go to the resources and find the answer.

If this didn’t catch you in time please update on how the check ride went.

    Cheers!
