Presolo written test prep question.
I got this question: What is CTAF? Explain the CTAF procedures at your home airport.
At KTMB the operational houres are 1200-400pm but it says also attended contingeous. So outside the 1200-400 pm how do I comunicate CTAF, do I still get clearances or does ATC not respond after these operating houres?

When the tower is closed you will use standard non-towered communication procedures on the tower frequency, just self-announce your intentions as you would at any other non-towered field. If you dial up the ATIS and instead hear the ASOS that will be your first clue the tower is closed.

The attended continuously just means there is always going to be someone at the FBO.

There are no VFR clearances when a tower is not in operation. Follow standard non-towered airport procedures per the AIM when the tower is closed.
