Endorsements for Retest

Hi all!

I am currently going through the process of having a student fail a check ride for the first time. I am a bit paranoid when it comes to ensuring my students are properly endorsed and all required paperwork is completed prior to the examiner arriving for the practical test.  I was hoping to get some feedback on exactly which endorsements are necessary for the re-test. I have completed the additional ground and flight training and have already issued the endorsement for 61.49. From the FAR's it appears that 61.49 is the only required endorsement but I was hoping to get some confirmation on that.  Thanks in advance for any help!

Depending on which certificate or rating he is applying for, you would already have endorsed for the training required. No need to repeat that.

You should also have endorsed him for 61.39. As long as that endorsement has not expired, it is still good.

61.49 is the only endorsement he should need, otherwise.
