heli instrument add-on

Asked by: 3103 views Commercial Pilot, Helicopter, Instrument Rating

3rd time trying to post this, hopefully this comes out alright.  I'm and commercial gyro and fw pilot with instrument rating.  I'm currently working on heli add-on which is just to proficiency, looking at about 15 hours to complete.

For instrument I need 15 hours.  I only read 3 in helicopter and I can do remainder in sim.  Am I reading this right?  If not why not?  I will have no xc heli time as described above.  Regs state that 10 xc is required in heli.  Will I have to accomplish this.  That would make 10 total max in heli the way I read it, as I can accomplish the instrument training on the xc.
