Foreign pilot certificate

Asked by: 2404 views , , ,
FAA Regulations

I had a foreign pilot paper certificate with IFR privileges based on a IRA knowledge test that I completed. This has expired and I am now required to have a foreign pilot plastic certificate. Will the IFR privieges be grandfathererd to my new plastic certificate?

You can go to a FSDO and request that a plastic certificate be issued. You will first need to go through the verification process for your foreign pilot license.

Any ratings showing on the paper certificate will still show on the plastic certificate.
