    Steve, I think it’s great that you’re trying to expand your knowledge about aviation and aerodynamics, as evidenced by the questions you’ve been asking lately. And although that’s what this website is for, I’d offer that you might get quicker answers in many cases by just googling for the information.

    For example, a google search for the words you used, “lift during knife edge flight” (without the quotes) returns pages of results, the first being an excellent article from AOPA’s Flight Training magazine that exactly answers your question, and more. Similarly for upside down flight.

    Just offering a potentially quicker answer, that’s all.
