Hi there

if an instructor who is cfi with igi but doesnt have cfii can he/she endorse student for instrument knowledge test? can they also teach instrument flight lesson but not endorse them for checkride?

    A CFI with IGI can teach instrument knowledge test material but is not authorized to give dual lessons on instrument flight instruction. That’s what the CFII is required for as well as being able to sign off for the flight test. IGI is ground instruction only.
