TSA looking into CFIs.. Why??

TSA/DHS contacted our flight school and requested names and CFI# of all our active instructors.  Anyone have any ideas why??

    You didn’t give enough information for a good answer.

    It could be that your school is training foreign applicants.
    It could be that your school is a high activity school.
    It could be because of a complaint.

    Or, it could just be routine surveillance. It’s part of their job, just as it is part of the job of the FAA to conduct surveillance on flight instructors who train a lot of students or who have a high failure rate.
