Computer Test Report

What is the sign off area at the bottom of the Laser Grade FAA computer test report used for?  Does this need to be signed off prior to a re-take of a written exam or is this just signed off prior to a practical test to show the examiner that the instructor reviewed the deficient areas with the student or is there a situation where this does not have to be signed?.  Thanks for your help.

    That area is only used for retest after failure of the written test.  If you have passed the written test, there will be no signature when you give it to the DPE on your test day.
