You can find your answer at this FAQ portion of the TSA website. https://www.flightschoolcandidates.gov/afsp2/?acct_type=p&section=WN

Pretty sure an H1B allows for full or part-time study. The best place to check would be the Department of State (i.e. those who issued the visa).

    Hi Rohit,

You will not be able to go for a PPL on an H1B, you will need apply for a M1 visa, however this will invalidate your H1 and you be on a student visa once you start flight training.

Please wait for your Green Card and then you can start flight school or go for an M1 visa.
