I am a private pilot, can I carry a passenger under 18 years old?

Asked by: 2514 views Aerodynamics, FAA Regulations, General Aviation, Private Pilot

I wanted to know if I could carry a passenger that is under 18. I am a private pilot and have made 3 takeoffs and landings within the pass 90 days so I am current. Is this okay? I've talked to the passengers parents and they said it was okay, but do they need to sign anything?

There is no FAA regulation concerning a minimum age for passengers. Parent’s permission would be required for a minor. If I were you, I would get that permission in writing, just in case something were to happen.
