Hello, I am a female pilot who is petrified of stalling - well, in fact any aerobatic-type manoeurvres. I have obtained an australian Private pilots licence - but cannot overcome my fear of stalling. I more than dislike the negative G feeling that your body experiences and do not feel comporatble in the unusual attitude. My stuggle to deal with the above two issues leave me with little confidence to maintain control of the aircraft - especially when solo. I have discussed this issue with many istructors and CFI's - however, most people push the issue aside and encourage me to pratise. This fear of mine is crippling! I undertook an unexpected stalling session during a nav recently towards the tail end of my Private Licence training and was so affected by the experince and the intense fear that i experinced - i could hardly talk to anyone for over a week. I find that people just bruch it off as me being an emotional female. I am very strong in mind and know i can do them (if ever i am in an emergncy) - however the fear is crippling. Do you have any ideas on how I can combat this fear?????
