Expired paper certificate

Asked by: 2807 views
Commercial Pilot

Hello, I have a paper commercial certificate. Is it real that I cannot renew it or fly with it?

I want to get my 1 medical class back and get a new plastic certificate.

Right now I have a paper certificate with SSN issued 1989.

What do I need to do in order to renew it once I get my medical back?

I am current in flying since I have a current 1 class medical and atpl in Europe.

Tks

Just follow the links there to get a plastic certificate, easy! Since pilot certs don’t expire, you can just request one at any time.

When you ask for the replacement certificate, if you state that the purpose for requesting it is to remove your SSN, it will be free.

If not, they will charge you $2 for the replacement.
