What is the best most effective prep course to take / buy to pass the ATP written?

How important is it to get a high grade or is passing enough?

Do prospective employers ask what grade you received on the written test?

I used an ASA test prep but that was many years ago and I had not heard of Sheppard Air. Many of my clients used Sheppard Air and scored very well. I was also uninformed and took the 135 test instead of 121. The 135 test is now obsolete.

The “new” ATP written exams announced in 2013 have now been implemented. They are ATP Multiengine (ATM) and ATP Single Engine (ATS). The new ATM test is longer (125 scored questions) and you now have 4 hours for the test instead of 3.

Since an ATP now has to be part of an approved program, you should probably used materials associated with that program.
