SIC currency

Asked by: 3026 views FAA Regulations

Hi I'm wondering if I’m current to fly a jet as SIC. I have done the initial class and got the type one and a half years ago. The last time I flew that aircraft was 7 months ago. I have just finished recurrent on another jet aircraft. Am I still current as SIC on the first aircraft?

The training requirements in 61.55(b) must be accomplished every 12 months and are type specific. Based on that, I would say you are not qualified to act as SIC for the first airplane.
