Airman Medical Cert. OR Airman Medical Cert. & Student Pilot Cert.

Asked by: 3712 views FAA Regulations, Private Pilot, Student Pilot

Hello,

I am filling out the MedXpress form online, and it has two options for "Application for:".

Airman Medical Cert.

Or

Airman Medical Cert. & Student Pilot Cert.

I stopped flying about 10 years ago, but completed my private pilot in fixed wing during that time. I am moving into helicopters and thus will be doing the typical solo and progression as if I'm new to flying.

Should I select just the medical certificate, or the medical certificate plus the student pilot cert.

Thanks!

Airman Medical Certificate only. You already hold a Private pilot certificate.

You cannot hold two different level certificates, unless one of them is a U.S. certificate based upon a foreign license.
