Is Commercial Written Exam Required to add an Aircraft Category to my license?

I previously took the Commercial Exam an received my Commercial Helicopter Rating.  Do I have to take the commercial exam again to add on my Commercial Airplane rating?  Is it a seperate written exam, or is a blanket commercial exam that encompasses all catagories?

    No additional test is required. Reference 61.63. Addition of an aircraft category rating.

    There is a test to addon / upgrade an aircraft category at the ATP level though. Reference 61.165.
