Basic Ground Instructor

I want to be a BGI, should I do the Private pilot written test first or shound I just go for the BGI test. I ask this because I do not intend to get a private pilot certificate. Which is the harder test?

    The BGI is the harder test. With that rating I believe you can only endorse written tests for the private pilot. The BGI and AGI tests are from the same test bank with the AGI adding twenty more questions. I would take the AGI test and be able to teach ground schools for all tests except instrument.
