FAA Instructor providing instruction in Canadian Registered Aircraft

Legally, can a FAA instructor who holds FAA and Transport Canada pilot licenses/ratings, but only holds a FAA instructor license, provide instruction in a Canadian registered aircraft to a pilot who only holds a Transport Canada pilots license and sign their logbook?

    I can’t factually address the direct question, but an indirect component is important. You can’t provide instruction to a foreign pilot w/o both you and the pilot going through an approval process. So, that’s an immediate impediment.

    I don’t imagine the Canadian Revenue people would care if you did a few hours of dual, but do you have the right to work in Canada?

    In addition to the above, it would depend on:

    – whether the C-reg was currently in US or Canada
    – whether the aircraft had the appropriate maintenance sign off for remunerated instruction
