Night vfr operations for commercial operations

Hi everyone, this is my first ever post :)

We all know that in order to conduct a night VFR flight during commercial operations, the pilot has to be instrument rated.

My question comes here:

Does the airplane has to be IFR certified? Does the pilot has to be IFR current in order to conduct that flight even though there’s not an IFR plan filed?

    There is not anything in Part 91 that controls that. If you are thinking of FAR 61.133(b)(1) the answer is that the pilot only needs to be current for IFR if flying IFR. Note also that only applies if carrying passengers. The limitation does not apply to carrying cargo.
