FAA Regulations

Is ATP-CTP Course meant for Pilots with 1500hrs or Can a Pilot with 300 hrs  would be able to participate and take a written ATP Exam after attending the Program.

    61.153 and the subsequent sections of the FAR spell out the requirements. It looks like you can take the CTP, but would not be eligible for the practical test due to aeronautical experience requirements.

    On a more practical note, CTP courses are expensive. If you are planning to fly for an airline, you will find that most regional carriers will either pay for this training or incorporate the training into the initial training process. The airline I teach ground for is one of these and pays for the ATP CTP prior to INDOC new hire training.

    I would advise you to wait until ready and eligible to obtain the ATP to take the course, you will then be very fresh on the topics covered, which are then covered again in the airline training programs. Good luck in your flying career, there are a lot of openings for ATP eligible candidates and for now airlines are paying for you to obtain the ATP-CTP.
