Stc factors for engine change for an Aircraft

Basically what all factors should be looked upon if we are changing the engine from an large airplane?

Scenario is I have an assignment that for an aircraft the owner is changing the engine and for getting the STC what all do he need to mainly focus on ?

Example increase in weight, Take off distance, Stall speed etc?

Kindly name a few where the regulations play a key role.
