Short field takeoff Vr speed?

hello everyone,

While I was studying for my CFI oral short field take off, I came up with short field Vr speed which is similar to Vr speed in POH.

For short field airspeed calculation, we refer POH to obain 'lift off' and 'At 50ft obstacle' which is Vx , and liftoff speed is totally different from short field Vr.

Can anyone explain to me ?

    a Cessna 172 POH does not give a VR or lift off speed for the short field takeoff,
    instead it states that the aircraft should be held in a slightly tail low attitude.
    this means that the pilot should keep that attitude from the beginning of the take off roll and wait for the aircraft to lift off by itself, once airborne maintain the published climb speed that is listed by the short field takeoff description in the POH.
    i teach my students to lift the nose halfway to the horizon they see during the start of the takeoff roll and maintain that attitude as slightly tail low, it works perfectly and you can notice the shorter takeoff roll to become airborne.

    lift off speed is most commonly used for cross wind take off, where the pilot wants more speed to get more airflow over the control surfaces, making them more efficient and making the aircraft less vulnerable for the cross wind to push it off the desired flight path.
