Check ride without flaps?

Me and my 15 year old brother are looking at taking a loan out from grandpa and buying a older piper Colt for sale near by for under 15K. (or Taylor craft or Aeronca like we have considered)Can he take lessons in this aircraft and take his test in an aircraft without flaps such as the colt. I have my private and am looking for a cheap way to build hours as I go off to school next year for a FT degree.  Would the examiner just expect a normal take off, short filed take off, and slow flight without flaps? or can the test not be giving in an aircraft like such?

    There is no requirement for flaps on an airplane for the Private practical test.
    If you are planning on training and taking the test in a Colt or T-craft or Aeronca, you would want to make sure it is equipped with the necessary instruments and nav equipment.
