Is University of Minnesota Crookston a good place to go to earn my ratings to be an airline pilot?

I am thinking of going here and would like to know if it's a wise choice.

    My personal opinion is that young folks should major in something completely unrelated to aviation so that they’ll have a back-up plan if (when) their airline falls on its face. If this school will let you use the flight department while you study something more broad-based, then go for it.

    I completely agree with Chris. Last time I checked major airlines required a college degree but that degree did not have to be aviation related. It would be very wise to major in something else you’re interested in and complete all your training on the side, either through a flight program or even an instructor you find at a local airport. A commercial raiting is the same regardless of how you went about getting it.
