Thanks for registering at Ask a CFI.com. I am glad you have decided to become part of our community.
A couple of things you should know before using the site:
1) No question is dumb (really). Whatever your question may be, no matter how silly you think it is there is probably someone who has wondered the same thing (which is why the site exists) and is looking for the answer, just like you. So don’t be ashamed to ask us anything (related to flight training)
2) Please don’t delete your question once you have it answered. Again, the only goal of the site is to be a resource for students so please keep that question up. There is probably someone just like you that will perform a search in Google for the same question you just had answered. We want that person to find the site and get his question answered too!
3) Please include some detail in your question and place it in the body portion of the form. We as flight instructors want to help you but it doesn’t help anyone if you don’t include enough detail for us to work with.
If you have any questions about how to use the site, please email me using the contact form.
Oh and before you leave, I have a recommmended resource for you:
I highly recommend that you also get PilotWorkshops’ multimedia Tip of the Week.
They’ve got an outstanding panel of instructors and cover a wide range of topics including emergencies, single pilot IFR, weather, ATC, VFR and much more. It’s a good complement to my site and newsletter, and they also respect your email privacy.
