Oshkosh 2010

Posted by on July 29, 2010 0 Comments Category : Flight Instructor Blog

Just wanted to post a couple pictures from my Oshkosh 2010 visit yesterday. I usually just go up for the day, but one of these years, I’m going to plan on staying a little longer. It’s kind of like visiting The Louvre, there is just no way to see and visit everything in one day. More importantly, one day is not nearly enough time to visit with everyone I want to either. Just this year, I missed visiting with @jetwhine @adamcanfly @smirk233 @nolaphotoguy and @denverpilot @MyTransponder and @AirPigz and several more!

I did get to see and meet some new friends this year.  Had a wonderful conversation with Jason Blair from NAFI and spent the day with a couple of kids who were vising OshKosh for the first time.  Hopefully, they got the flying bug and will be back for many years to come.  I also listened to a very inspirational Catherine Olds (whose dad was famous fighter pilot Robin Olds) talk about the process of putting her dad’s memoirs together (read: Fighter Pilot: The Memoirs of Legendary Ace Robin Olds)

I also took a few pictures that I wanted to share with you.  They aren’t anything fancy, but I thought you might appreciate them just the same.  If you can’t tell from the photos below, I am completely infaturated with Douglas DC-3 and there were plenty of them to ogle at this year with the 75th anniversary of the Douglas DC-3 being celebrated at Oshkosh. Also took a couple pictures of the Douglas DC-7, another favorite of mine.

Can’t wait to next year! #OSH11
